Reagan read his first story ever today!!! Ok, it only had 4 words in it, but hey I'll take it!! He read the first story in the HOP K workbook called Fat Cat, Fat Rat, the only other word is sat. But it's a great start and he read it very well!
ohhhh......... we should celebrate with you........ and make cake in his honor! Don't forget www.starfall.com they have some fun learning books that the narrator reads as each word is sounded out
Go for it, the more the merrier..lol He loves starfall, but I was sure he would never have an interest in sounding out words. Last week he started asking to watch the Leapfrog dvds, so I knew we were on to something. Just really hoping he continues to show interest!
My kids are HIGHLY audio visual learners..... I can teach them something, but when they tell thier dad where they learn it, they always say some kind of TV show like Rough Ruff man (PBS talking dog show):roll:
We watch "too much" TV, because my kids pick up way more from it than they ever could from me or a book. ETA shhhh I love Ruff Ruffman
