I'm new to this site, but not to homeschooling. This school year was our first year homeschooling our 5th and 8th graders (so that probably makes me new to hs anyways :shock. We decided to hs due to my husband's job. He's in the Military, we were stationed overseas, we had to move back to the states, and then roadtrip from FL to VA. Everything in the middle of the school year so hs made more sense. Due to the fact that we never know where the Army is going to send us next, we hs under a Christian umbrella school. We considered to put the kids back in regular school as soon as we settled in, but the daily news, a visit to the local schools, and above us, my children's interest in God, convinced us to continue homeschooling indefinitely. We ordered their curriculums for next year already so yes...homeschooling changed our lifes in more ways than one. I can now say that am oficially a proud Christian homeschooler The only thing we are planning to do new this year is to change from Roman Catholics to Orthodoxy. So if there are Orthodox homeschoolers in this forum please let me know. I'll need guidance regarding religion.
