What all are you wanting? There is Explode the code, which can be used as a reading (you can add in a few easy readers or phonics readers), phonics, and spelling program. Also with handwriting practice added in.
We use an online homeschool curriculum called Time4Learning for our sixth and first grade boys. They love it. It covers language arts, math, science and social studies (grades PreK-8), but you could use it just for language arts. My first grader also likes the "playground" they have...it's a selection of online games. He can play there once he's finished with his lessons for the day. They are educational games that reinforce what he is learning, but he's good with that as long as it means extra time on the computer for him, lol. It's a win-win for both of us.
I love CLE. But first grade is heavy in phonics, so if you don't really want/need that, here's what first graders "need" as far as grammar/mechanics: Capitalize names of people and pets, and the first word of a sentence, days of the week. A sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought. Most sentences end with a period, but some end with a question mark. Naming words (nouns) and action words (verbs). That's about it.
We're finishing up Evan Moor Grammar Grade 1. The book is split into 25 different grammar rules with ample practice pages for each rule. The link I shared is for Amazon, but I purchased mine from Currclick.com so I could keep it on my computer and save shelf space.
