Well that is pretty much where I am now. DD16, DS13, DS2 3/4, DD2 mos. and colicky.:love::lol: I had to laugh today when a neighbor came to the door, the house was a wreck: I'm still working through a weeks worth of laundry; we were away on vacation last week, and there I was holding a crying baby who had just spit up all over the place. She had a look of pity. I'm really doing fine, because I had a similar situation with the older two, minus the older child going through puberty, I know this is a very temporary stage. It's actually quite comical at times. It was a minor miracle that we managed to mobilize this family for a weeks vacation at the beach. Once we got there it was quite relaxing.
Garrett (born 12/20/98) is 6 years and 8 days older than Rylee. Rylee (born 12/28/04) is 1 year 1 day older than Reagan. Reagan (born 12/29/05) is 3 years 4 1/2 months older than Cameron (born 5/12/09).
My kids are 18 month apart. I would have had them closer but dh said no way! Love that they are so close in age. I wouldn't change it for the world! They always do things together and we never have to worry if one isn't able to keep up. Talk about Prozac when they both leave for college at the same time it will be flowing....
My oldest son is 8 1/2, my youngest son is 2 1/2. There are 6 years, 1 month and 3 days between them. There are advantages and disadvantages to the age gap, but for the most part I'm very happy with it. If we ever have a third baby (not planning on it, but you never know), I would want to do it within the next year or 2, though, just because of my age. I am 35 now and just worry about possible health issues when you get pregnant as you get older.
Stephanie, I was two weeks short of 35 when my oldest was born, and 40 when the youngest came. I didn't get married until right before my 32nd birthday. What I found amusing is that when I first came in to the OB's office, the nurse pointed out my age to the OB. And she replied, "Oh, it doesn't matter! She'll still be 24 when she delivers!" As if that two weeks REALLY made that big a difference!!! But I WILL say that, when you're older, I think it takes a bigger toll on your body.
Very far apart, in fact I don't know exactly. I have one son who is 16 1/2. I really don't know if I will ever have another one. If I do, it will be by adoption. So most likely he is an only. I didn't plan it that way, but...
There are 17 1/2 months between the oldest and the middle, and 3 1/2 years between between the middle and the youngest. I prefer the 3 1/2 years apart much more, lol. Oldest and and middle fight a LOT, but they both get along pretty well with the youngest. (Right now they are 8 1/2, 7 and 3 1/2)
My kids are 1 minute apart! That's because they are twins - a boy and a girl. They are 9 years old now. Their birthday is in November. It makes life easy for us when it comes to home educating them because we only have to teach one grade at a time.
hehehe.. yeah. It's why we take off from Thanksgiving to New Years.. and really even after New Years the littles are still too excited to think..lol
Maybe this is the norm then. While there are 21 months between our oldest two, there are close to three years' difference between #2 and #3, #3 and #4, #4 and #5, and #5 and #6. At this point, our 'children' are 28, 26, 23, 20, 17, and almost 14.
