I just wanted to share and to let ya'll know that I have updated my free curriculum planner for the 2011/2012 school year.

I have several color covers to choose from and several curriculum planning pages and a STEP BY STEP guide to help you put it together.

Here is my site I store them on

    http://new-bintexas.webs.com/

    look at these pages:

    About our Free Planner
    Free Planner
    More Curriculum Form
    Student Planner

I know some of you know me, others not, but you do not need to sign anything, join anything..FREE is FREE on my site.

I want you to know that I sale a program but I advertise that on the appropriate venues such as The Old SchoolHouse Magazine but that is in no way attached to this.

I try to share with as many as possible who are not part of my program because I know we all need help..especially with the economy the way it is.

This is from my heart and I share in the hopes of making your journey easier.

    Hugs from me to you!

Hey Jackie and Hi Brooke too,

So GOOD to hear from ya'll Yep I *really* did intend last time to keep up a little better but realized I had another "calling"...so I followed that..

Boys are GREAT! Getting better looking by the minute..lol spoken like a true mom...

I just still can't believe the size of this group...It is WONDERFUL and amazing...

Let me see----Tre was suppose to get his driving permit, we have been practicing---but we got a setback and my sister was in ICU for weeks and long term care and we almost lost her.

She and I are only 13 months apart in age and she homeschools her 2 daughters...

So my life was hold on the first of this year---isn't that the beautiful thing about homeschooling---it just adjusts to life.

She is doing MUCH better..but needless to say we spent time learning "other things" from about Jan to April.....and are glad we all could be there for my sis when she needed us..

So Tre is now eager to get that permit....as we have now caught up....

I have continued the free lapbooking/unit site and kept adding to it and got my other site up and running/finished writing the program my heart so desparately wanted to for new homeschoolers. I see now that was where I was suppose to be--why do we fight it?

I feel blest because in helping others I truly believe I am the one receiving back so much more.

Now that my oldest is getting close to graduation and some of his friends have graduated early......I get well "teary eyed" because it has gone so fast for him.

Well enough about me...what's up with ya'll?

    Hugs too and another hug

Rachael is also close to graduating. She's got her license, and we decided to enroll her in an on-line, public charter school at the end of last year. That way, she can take classes this fall as a high school student at the community college for free, and earn joint high school/college credit for them. A year of "free college" was worth the trade! She scored very high on her ACT, so we're hoping that will translate into serious scholarship money! She went to Jamaica last summer on a mission trip.

Faythe is volunteering this summer. It's a job she's really enjoying, working about two days a week. Phillip did First Lego League last year and LOVED it. I wish you were around more, because he doesn't particularly like to read, and I'm always looking for "boy books" that might catch his interest. I finally convinced him to try "The Great Brain", and he did like that. And right now, he's in the middle of Narnia.

    Hi Shelby,

We go back/forth depending on the year if the kids use one or not......My perfect paul oldest son starts writing in MY curriculum planner ROFL ( I have to beat hm off) and keeps a journal, a planner and whatever else he can organize (he is insane..he is kin to his mother.we love organization)

My middle guy I require him to keep one because he is a bit more free spirit which I love about him---but needs my help to manage his time..I want him to enjoy being a free spirit--but he gets easily frustrated because he is not organized.....Again, because I don't want to "tame" his spirit but "channel" it....I require a little more of him...

This year coming up most of his curriculum he can follow so it will require journaling......but I haven't decided if he will keep on or not....

So it "depends" on my "training of them" but I like having whatever "tools " I need depending on "attitude" that year..;)

    I hope that helps!

YES MA'AM she is the other brunette.....I don't live close to her anymore like I use to--but yes we are friends and do New Beginnings together....

Her kids are younger and since she lives a distance from me...she does things more with her local group...

Whoo hoo sounds like your crew is growing up too...Don 't you love high school. Tre has done some CLEP...he is getting ready to enroll in some community college courses and I'm going take advantage of that while we are close here..as I have a hankering to get back out in the country..

Congrats on Rachael! Scholarship money would be nice!! We are going to try to get as many credits by clepping..and combo comm college..for dual credit. Tre is going to volunteer at Fire Department (he would like to earn money BUT....dad feels he needs some more emphasis on the "giving")

And Fire Dept is close to my house...so I can accomodate him..

    Lego League sounds great!

Guess what my boys have gotten into? BLEW ME AWAY! But they all 3 do Ballroom Dancing!

It was part of my fine arts curriculum for Tre for high school and they said NO WAY they were going...Of course Dad explained how they were (you know how that goes)

He said go one time or for 3 months..OH MY..That is ALL it took ..One time...and they were HOOKED.

    Who'd thunk it!

I hear ya about boys book...I focus on history and right now Trever and Tristen are having a Sherlock Holmes run.....

Nimble Fingers Typing? I'll have to check that out! Rachael is already acting like a homeschool mom..."Mom, Philllip can't type on the computer! WHEN are you going to teach him?" LOL!

    Fortressmom,

It will be OKAY...I have helped many many New Bees and I am here to tell you that you are doing the RIGHT THING by joining a group like this.

I often say in my workshops that coming here or any group is like a "life line" in our journey..We keep connected...

I hear moms say that sometimes they get "stressed" because there are too many blogs to follow, groups to follow,etc..BUT BUT BUT here is the thing "this is a full time job you are taking on and if my child had another teacher besides me, I would EXPECT certain things from him or her.

For one I would expect that he or she is getting the education they need to continue. I would expect that he or she is part of an association or organization of like-minds so ideas could be shared and followed.

Being part of a group like this only STRENGTHENS your God given resolve that this IS the best decision you have made. Many, many, many have gone before you successfully..

So glean and let "iron sharpen iron"...

So glad you could benefit from the site....I have informational articles too on my blog..it is all FREE and will try to from time to time to drop in here..

Hugs to you on your new start,
