Hi Ladies! I need some "creative" help. We're having a dessert social for several moms in our HSing support group. I'm trying to plan a few games. One thing I'm trying to do is match up homeschooling terms with candy bars. (I did this for a bridal shower...Engagement/Ring Pop, Groom/Big Hunk, Bride/Hot Tamale, Father of the Bride/Sugar Daddy, First Kiss/Bit o' Honey). Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for terms to match to candy I'd appreciate it. Ideas for other games are welcome too! Thanks, Shaina
Mounds--stacks of books and papers Reeses--after lunch every day  Butterfinger--inevitably happens whenever a painting project is involved  Snickers--what we do when someone asks us "what about socialization?" Kit Kat--jumps on the table when doing a cooking project with the kids Pop Rocks--dads that love to jump in and teach! Nerds--common misconception of homeschoolers :? Maybe I can think of more.......
Mars and Milky Way--astronomy project Jr. Mint--when the kids' piggy banks are better padded than your own Gum Drops--and instantaneously find either hair or shoes  Whoppers--headaches that accompany lesson plans and record keeping  It's getting a little tougher......someone help me out here.......
Brooke, The only one I thought of on my own was the Snickers. I had the exact same thing for that, just didn't get it posted. But that was ALL I had. You're hot, keep the roll going!
Just the fact that I could make a list of at least 25 candybar names goes to show you what commercialism over the years can do to ya  But just for giggles, here are a couple more...... Cracker Jacks--new math manipulative game where the whole point is to teach SOMETHING before your child eats all the crackers Raisinettes--what children resemble after drying in the sun for too long while enduring the third field trip of the month Jawbreakers--what we WISH we could do when people ask us AGAIN about "socialization" and didn't take the hint with our SNICKERS  Zero--percent of homeschooling parents who think more of their own self than the needs of their children I think I'm about wiped out here......(pant, pant )
