I found a link a little while ago. I think it was on a blog...but what it had was a whole list of films with its genre and what it could be used for in a Home Education capacity....such as Star Wars = Politics, Titianic = History etc. I have searched and search google and came up with zip, and I've trawled my history file and got nothing....grrrr I'm hoping that someone here will have stumbled across it too and remembers where from.... Many thanks SS
I don't know if this is the one you are looking for, but this is one I stumbled upon last year I think. http://www.vernonjohns.org/snuffy1186/movies.html
Sorry Junebug - not the one I'm afraid. I know I picked it up following a link from another site. It was not as white as this I recall in layout and had the appearance of a blog page...(I could be wrong on this though - memory is a funny thing at my age! lol).
This may not be the one you are thinking of either...but it's a good one too. http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/ancient/asbookmovies.html here is another one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_historical_drama_films this one looks interesting too... http://www.filmcrave.com/list_genre_movie.php?genre=Historical another one... http://hudsonfla.com/films.htm
Thank you - we will get there and I will check these out. In the mean time I have a pressing need to sort out a young lady with a hankering to be Elizabeth Swan at a Pirate fancy dress party tonight....aggghhhh
If it helps any the lists are great and will definitely be of great help - the list I was trying to find lists the files first in alpha order and then what they can be used for.
