Anybody have or know of a good Kindergarten blog? I find all these super cute preschool blogs with activity ideas and printables, but I never run across a K blog. Also, any websites in general geared towards K would be a GREAT help to me! I am so excited to be homeschooling my daughter her first year of school! My hubby really wants me to send her to ps next school year, but I am praying if she learns really well and enjoys it, and states keep passing certain curriculums, he may let me continue to homeschool her. I'm just trying not to get my hopes up to much! :? Thanks!
Any Kindergarten Unit Studies then? I plan on using Abeka K4 (even though she is 5) Phonics and Writing, but I wanted the rest of her curriculum to be a more hands on, fun learning approach. My mom homeschooled me and she used a more textbook approach to learning. We did a unit study maybe once a year, if that, but a lot of what I remember from school, fun and learning wise, came from the unit studies. That is why I want to do them with my daughter.
Well, I don't have a Kindergarten blog but I did post some unit studies we did when my kids were about that age. Here is one we did on Scotland, one on the Arctic, and here is one we did on Native Americans. I did this one when my younger son was in Kindergarten as well as this one on Italy and this one on Ukraine. Hope that helps.
Ha ha, Embassy, I actually found your blog somehow just yesterday while searching for unit studies and Kindergarten blogs! I loved how you "lived out" the plagues!
