We just had several fire trucks and a police car go by our house-not something we see very often on the ranch. My DH and FIL just went to check it out (my FIL is the manager of the ranch, so it's part of his job). I just got a text that they can see smoke but haven't found the fire yet. It may or may not be on the ranch... Another BIG firetruck just went by which must have come from town because the rural fire departments around here don't have trucks that big. It's been soooooooo dry here! Any fire is going to spread like crazy! We've been pretty lucky so far. 100's of acres on the ranch burned this spring but didn't come close to the house. My MIL and FIL have lost two houses to fire, so things get pretty anxious around here when fires are nearby. DH just texted me that it is on the ranch by the river gate. Several miles from our house right now... And there goes another fire truck! Thanks for your prayers!
I was wrong. It's not actually on the ranch. It's on the other side of the road still right now. Keep the prayers coming though. We need this to stay away from all the homes!
