I'm a SAHM to 2 beautiful girls, J is 8 and K is 1. This will be our first year homeschooling. J will be starting 3rd grade. She did great in PS but we decided to try homeschooling this year, and hopefully for several more years to come! We live in central FL. I'm a little nervous about the whole thing, but I'm hoping it will all go well. Any tips for managing school with a toddler running around? Any tips for a first timer? J is excited about it as she has several friends that homeschool.
I haven't dealt with this, but lots of people who have say keep a couple of boxes of toys and ideas for activities for the toddler just for use during school time, and rotate the boxes so the stuff is always new to them. Welcome to the wonderful adventure!
Welcome! My kids are closer in age, so they seemed to just mesh well with activities for the most part. Sorry.
welcome to this awesome forum. i recevied alot of helps and laughs, here. =) we are also newbie to hs and will be relocating central fl in fall. my girls are (10, 8, 5). i have read that, one of option to do hs with younger kid around is to do some of the lesson during their nap time. good health and happiness.
