Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've been online. My family and I have been enjoying our summer, and we are getting ready to start our first year of home schooling. The public schools here have already started last week, and the kids thought it was cool that they get a few extra weeks before they start. They watched the other kids get off the school bus at the end of our driveway on the first day of public school, and I have to say, it was pretty surreal. I am officially holding myself responsible for my kids education, and it feels so liberating and empowering. It's also nice to not have to fight the crowds for back-to-school shopping and buying the dreaded uniforms that the schools here force the kids to wear. We're also gearing up for football and cheerleading, which will be starting soon. I still have a few things I need to buy to make things go as smooth as possible for our first day of school, but I could truly start tomorrow if I wanted to. But I will enjoy these last few weeks of summer and try not to get too anxious or wound up about starting. Hope everyone has enjoyed their summer! :D

How exciting! I remember that first year and how I felt. It's going to become second nature very soon.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

our official date to hs will be here in few weeks time. doing the count down as i read your post have my heart skipping beats. don't know what is the right word to describe what i'm feeling.....but i'm sure liberation will be one of the definite word for the day i sent in my withdrawal letter in ny and intent letter in fl.
i must say putting together materials for our hs adventure and testing a few times with it
getting me and my girls all fire up. of course hope this excitement of ours will stay with us for a long time - lol!
like you said, trying not to rush in and over do hs, so we decided to take a road trip for 2weeks, right before our official date to hs.

    enjoy what's left for summer.
    good health and happiness.
