Hubby has been mechanicing since he was in highschool. He has worked at his current job for the past 6 years. Since his back problems he has had some limitations but he hasn't let it stop him from working. He's in excrutiating pain constantly and finally has decided that maybe it's time for a career change. He has a degree in computers but we live in a very small town and there is no demand for it. We don't know where this career change may lead us. Hubby is very well known in town and has a lot of connections so he's got the word out that he's in the market for change. Anything that is not so labor intensive and pays at least what he is making now is an option at this point. I've been in prayer since yesterday about the issue. I've felt a peace today even after I picked hubby up for lunch and found out that he and his current boss had gotten into it AGAIN. This time was much worse. My husband could have a job tomorrow at another shop. They have been trying to get him to come to work for them for several years now. So if he looses his job he does have a place he could go. But it's not going to change the fact that he can not do this type of work any longer. Please pray that God would make his will make known to us. Seems like lately we've had one thing after another thrown at us. SOMETHING good HAS to come out of all this Right?? I know God has plans for us. Pray for calming peace to cover my husband. He was extremely irritated when I took him back to work. The stress is really getting to him. He admitted it last night. And his attitude is spilling over into everyone in the house. We NEED God to intervene!!

All the kids have left the house for the night and I've been able to have a long uninterrupted conversation with hubby about the issue. He says that he's giving his 2 week notice on Monday. I'm praying hard that this is what God wants. I asked my husband if he had prayed about it and he hasn't and doesn't intend to. Sigh.. I wish he would pray about it first. But I can't force him to. I'm going to have to trust that my prayers are heard and that what my husband has chosen to do is part of God's plan for us. I support him in whatever he does. Continue to pray for us and the situation. He will be going tomorrow morning to inquire about the job that was promised to him a few days ago. We'll see what happens. GOD IS IN CONTROL!! I have to let go and let God. Worrying about the issue is NOT going to do anything for me so I have given the issue over to my maker.

I've been praying LIKE A CRAZY WOMAN over this situation. I didn't sleep much Sunday night for the praying I did. I have had peace during this whole thing. That HAD to come straight from God!! Hubby gave his 2 week notice yesterday. He and his boss talked about it for an hour. Hubby actually watched his tongue which is a miracle in itself. He has a short fuse with certain things. I had told him the day before to try to be careful with his words so he has no regrets later. He said that stuck with him. Anyhow, his boss told him he didn't want him to go. Apologized for the things that he did that upset hubby but gave his point of view on it. Which coming from his point of view, it didn't seem like he had done anything wrong. Still my hubby felt belittled.
He came home at lunch and told me all about how it had gone. He was in an unusually good mood. He was set on leaving and on good terms. We do attend church with his boss after all. Last night he began looking for a job found several good prospects, and was about to begin writing his resume'. We went to bed on that note.
I just recieved a call from hubby and he has decided NOT to leave after all!! I told him that whatever he did was up to him. I had already prayed about it and wasn't going to worry. It was now in God's hands.. I have to admit that I am somewhat relieved that he's not going to be starting a new job but I was willing to move if that was what God had planned for us. Just wanted to let you all know how this all turned out.. Thanks for your prayers!!!

What good news, and it does look like your dh is thinking things through and probably even praying in his own way, and he has listened to the cautions of his wife....that says a lot.
    Blessings!
