Well, the neighbor came over tonight. She's got three kids, ages 1, 4, and 6. The oldest will be starting first grade. She comes over complaining, "JACKIE!!! My kids are now saying the don't want to go to school! They want to homeschool!!!" (And I KNOW she does NOT want to hs her kids!) So I looked at Zoe (the oldest), and said, "Philllip starts school next Monday. He has to get up early, and then he has to do math, and language, and reading, and science, and history. And he can't go outside and play. Sometimes he's SO BUSY, he doesn't get recess, and he has to do it ALL BY HIMSELF!" And Zoe just looked up at me and said, "Oh." Then she thinks a bit, turns to her mom and says, "OK. I guess I can go to school...." LOL!!!
LOL!!!! I told my kids last week that we're starting school on the 22nd, my oldest jumped up and down and got really excited! LOL
Nicely done. My kids have too many homeschooled friends. I'm trying to have us start school on the 22nd and I've got kids planning sleepovers and game nights, etc up until Labor Day. Sheesh. And I would bet that Phillip would still pick homeschooling over public school! MT3
