I worked at the national headquarters of the National Wild Turkey Federation when I first got pregnant with my oldest. We started our own business when he was a few months old, but I had already left my job just 3 weeks after returning from maternity leave. We decided to homeschool for many reasons, including the flexibility of it and the fact that I just love being with my kids.

I majored in Theatre at college (though I changed majors 7 times -- religion, history, etc - not something I want my kids to do - lol) Anyway, my main job after school was teaching college writing.

When I conceived, I was working on my B.A. in management and working at a cosmetics counter in a department store. I had always planned on going back to work, but my son wouldn't take a bottle. I found out after trying and failing to go back to work after my second child that I had excess Lipase in my milk, which was the reason they would not drink frozen breast milk. Oh the hours wasted filling the freezer!

I was a daycare worker, secretary for a HVAC technician, and a hairdresser while I was a single mom. I married when ds was 9 and haven't worked outside the home since. My dh and I agreed from the start that I should be home and that's where I have happily stayed. This was actually my childhood dream, despite my mother's semi-rabid feminist leanings.(yeah, I was a rebel!)

My last job, of seven years, was as a manager at McDonalds. I have worked in the food service industry for many years but did work in a couple of hair salons (I had a cosmetology license but didn't renew it). I also worked in childcare for awhile but food service just kept sneaking in:D. I do miss it but I love being home with my kids!

A life? Before this? LOL :) I don't remember it!!!!

    JUST KIDDING.

I was actually an account manager for a billion dollar client for a payroll processing company.

Wouldn't go back even if you'd doubled my salary!!!!

I did not have a "previous life" lol. I became a mom at 17 and I have stayed at home since then. I did not home educate at first simply because in the 80's I didn't know about it. The very year I heard of it (1993) I yanked them out and brought them home (the older ones). All 15 of our children were educated at home :)
