I was wondering what everyone likes to cook starting with something FROZEN, for example, frozen vegetables (in the meal, not the side)
    or frozen meatballs etc...

    Thanks for your ideas.

I like to bake leftover pasta (without sauce), frozen whatever for veggies, a can of cream-of-something soup and chucks of cheese (or Velveeta). Add ground beef for a complete meal. It's SO yummy and easy.

From something frozen I love making soups (especially veggie soup and minestrone soup), I also love Chicken Pot pie, and pretty much any casserole I make is from frozen veggies.

some things I have thought of:

fish stick tacos with cole slaw

    Chicken patty sandwiches and fries

Orange beef using frozen oriental veg.

    sweedish meatballs...... using frozen meatballs

I'm going to submit these into a recipe contest on a board I'm on where the theme is meals that have a frozen food element

Chicken patties (like you mentioned for a sandwich) are also good chopped up and tossed on a salad.

I like to cook roast in the crockpot, shred and freeze (not sure if this counts as "frozen" since there is prep work). Then I use it for stroganoff, with a jar or packet of gravy over mashed potatoes, bbq....

    Frozen ravioli!

Saute some veggies (onion, mushroom, garlic, zucchini- whatever), add some spaghetti sauce and simmer while you cook the ravioli according to package. Add to sauce, stir in some cheese- yum. Versatile- use any ground meat; change up the cheese; use alfredo sauce instead of red sauce and use frozen tortellini...

I have a squash bread recipe that is fantastic (wheat flour, mini chocolate chips). I use fresh or frozen squash, but it calls for frozen in the recipe itself. Let me know if you would like it.

Here is one I did today.

From frozen bread dough, frozen brauts, frozen polish sausage, and frozen bacon. Then you add swiss cheese, kraut, onions, caraway seeds, brown sugar, garlic. Top with poppy seeds. It is like a large sandwich.

Now I must add I have tons and tons of frozen in my freezer since I love Schwans food and well it all comes frozen.

I always start with frozen meatballs when making spaghetti

My family loves my cheesy broccoli soup! 4lbs of frozen broccoli, water to cover, 8 bullion cubes. Cook until broccoli is very tender, add 1 lb of velveetta, blend it all with a stick blender. Yum!

Yes, the meatball idea is always a good one.

Trouble is, remembering to keep a pack of meatballs in the freezer.
