I so sorry ladies but I have to brag about this.

Alot of you ladies that know me, know that my family and a bunch of other people put us through the ringer and back for homeschooling the girls.

Saying we would mess them up, they wouldn't do good in college.

Well my oldest started college this year and has been in only a month and got ask today by her teacher and other math teacher if she would tutor other students.

They will even pay her for her time. WOW! we were so excited we knew she loved math and always did well in it.
She has been helping alot of her classmates now so this is cool.

Now, I would love to say to those who said we would mess her up, go fly a kite.

We were talking tonight at dinner as her teacher was sick today so she took over the class for her teacher. (Now this girl use to be so shy, never do anything and is doing all this in a month).
That you can tell a different between homeschooler and public school anyway in this math class she said you can, because a public school wouldn't do anything with out a teacher. A homeschooler works ahead and just keeps going. LOL

See we didn't mess her on bit.

So, all you wonderful parents out there wondering if you are harming or not doing your children any good. Don't give up. Today just make it so neat to know you help that child to be what she is today.

Don't worry if they don't have friends or our shy. My oldest is very shy and never had many homeschool friends, like to be by herself and do her art work and school.

They will find friends when they are ready. She is finding tons of them now.

What wonderful proof that you have done a great job!!!!

(and please don't hold your brags back on my account- as someone still new, I need to read the success stories to counteract the other garbage I hear constantly)

That's wonderful to hear! Especially as I have a teenage daughter who doesn't care for any of the "typical" teen girl stuff, either. I've had people telling me I should push her to be more social, but it doesn't feel right to me. So it's awesome to hear from someone with an adult daughter who used to be a homebody, too!

Way to go, both of you! This is your success, too. :D

How wonderful! I bet all those who said you were messing up your girls won't be as excited to hear about this as we are, but who cares! Great job!

Kris thanks for sharing. I love the go fly a kite :D hee hee proof is in the puddin ;)
Meg don't fret over your non social butterfly. I didn't get out much as a teen either. But despite how much my mother pushed and worried I worked out fine :) I am sure she will find her own way even if it's a path less taken.
