The easiest way is to get a 2011 install disc and then use the 2008 content discs. We bought 2011 LA for my son, so I was able to use that disc to install some 2007 discs I bought from a friend. I think you can buy the install disc alone, or you can buy one subject that you will use now or in the future and get the disc that way.

SOS 2008 doesnt work with windows 7. You'll need a new installation disc. The disc alone is $50, but if you buy an elective, like the history of one ofthe 50 states, it's included. The state histories are cheaper, around $30. Then all of your old curricukum discs will work with windows 7. I'm currently running some curriculum from as far back as 2005.

thanks for the advise, I just bought a new Science (we were using a 2000 model that didn't require the install disk) so I bought it new. Did you know you can get a better price for it new on ebay than on the SOS website? Now we wait.
