I've been in a crabby mood lately with my posts so I thought I'd take a second to mention that today was a great day.

I posted on FB yesterday that I was stressed beyond what I could handle alone and really needed a friend to be the hands of Christ. Within minutes two ladies from church texted that they were going to come over today to help me with the house.

Earlier this morning, though, they both texted to say that they probably weren't going to make it. In that moment, I was in a very dark place. I cried and felt sorry for myself. With how abandoned I feel over the issue with my dad, it was really bad timing. I said, to DH, "What is it about me that makes people just not care?!" (Yes, I was whining and being a bit of a baby.)

Within an hour of that comment, the first lady showed up. A few minutes later the second texted to say she'd be there after she ate lunch.

We worked for about 4 hours and got my garage so decluttered it's crazy! Of course, now my trash pile is enormous (really, it's super huge), but we can take stuff to the dumpster at work.

I'm glad that the Lord answered my pain so immediately and so tangibly. The first woman who showed up said she was sitting at her other plans (the ones she canceled on me for) and just felt overwhelmed that she needed to be at my house.

I'm so thankful that my Heavenly Father cares about me even when I'm being stupid about life. And that I have people in my life who are willing to drop everything to listen to Him.

Love you! :) So glad to hear how the Lord is taking care of you in such a tangible way. It's also refreshing to hear about how other sisters in Christ are responding to the Spirit's prompting to help you at just the right time.

Oh Amie you are special to me in many ways. Wish I was closer to help.

I thought you were writing the letter above about me. That is how I feel. It seems the more I care and give the more I get slapped in the face and kick in the hind end.

Maybe its someone telling me to stop caring for everyone and giving. I don't know.

    Satan maybe.....

If your actions are done with a heart to serve God, do you really think He would tell you to stop and that those actions aren't wanted, appreciated or doing something to show His love?

We actually had a sermon on this yesterday, about saying "Call me if you need anything" doesn't help...Calling the person who needs help and saying "I'll be there at this time" usually does.

I'm glad God gave you what you needed in the moment...I wish I were strong enough to even ask for help from people who actually know me.

I'm really happy they did call (well, text). And they ended up following through.

It was tough. And then I panicked when they said they were coming. I was trying to figure out how to clean the garage before they got here so they didn't see how messy it was. lol. (Which would have rendered their visit useless. lol) I think I wouldn't have been able to specifically ask people for help, but I could do it generically on Facebook.
