However. I do love skiing if we have to have snow. ________________________________________________________________________________________ BarbB Www.smartypantsfun.com
Praying for safe travels for you today, Krista! Wow! Can't believe all the snow and WIND in the New England states!! Stay safe everyone.
We are supposed to get some tomorrow afternoon but we are leaving tomorrow morning to CA for a week so we won't see the first snowfall of the year. My kids are bummed because this is the first time we have lived where it snows.
Thank you!!! The drive turned out not-so-bad - well, traffic was a nightmare, always is around DC. Took us 5 hours to get where it would normally have taken 3. My daughter was EXHAUSTED by the time we got there. I think next time we'll stay overnight anyway! LOL
We ended up with about 4 inches. The slush made it miserable yesterday, but it's melting at a good clip today. I think all weather forecasts for my area should come with a 'this may be an insane exaggeration' warning. The hurricane this fall that wasn't, the snowstorm that was a bit of a dud (snowmen just don't have the same effect when they are covered with leaves :shock They did get hit harder an hour or so north of us. Where the predictions said the snowfall amount should have dropped off to less... Haha, I know, meteorology isn't an exact science!
We wound up with 6 inches...my daughter's championship soccer game got canceled, moved to Sunday, and canceled again. Thankfully it's mostly gone now...but I'm really afraid of winter now. >.<
We usually do not get snow until late December or January. But the last two years we actually had snow before Thanksgiving and Christmas. It doesn't look like this will be that case this year.
LOL!!! Rachael and Phillip will appreciate that! Hope she wins!!! (Phillip's team lost in the final game, but we're proud of them for doing so well!)
