Hi there, I'm new to this forum. My second grader and I are currently learning all of the states and capitals and we thought it would be fun to start a postcard exchange group. Basically, you would send out 49 postcards from your state (less than $16 postage) one week and then you would receive one postcard a week from another state for the next 49 weeks. If your kids would be interested in this, please contact me and I'll get you set up for the state you live in. Right now we have: OR, AK, NY, AL, CT, AZ, WA, CA, MS, SC, FL, GA, VA, HA, NM, UT, ID, and TX. But, we still need all of the other states. Hope this works out- it would be such a fun geography, history and interesting fact project!

That's a neat idea, Callie! I hope it works out for you, though I'm not interested in taking part right now. If we were at a different place in our studies, I'd jump at the idea!

We did that a few years ago when studying the states. I just signed up with postcardcrossings.com just for fun.

Yes, it is alot of fun. We did a few years ago with my girls and they got one from every state. It was tons of fun.

I can send you a postcard of Ohio, but I would not be interested in sending out 49 of them. I think this will be a fun project for you.
