Does anyone have the Name that State game by Educational Insights? If so, how many question "postcards" is the game supposed to have? I got the game at a thrift store and there are only 55 cards. That doesn't seem to give game players very many facts or variety. The instructions don't say how many cards there should be.

Does Educational Insights have a website or customer service? They may be able to tell you the quickest!

Hey, are you the homeschooler that lived in Ohio and went to Salt Fork with a Amy and Jackie? If so, how have you been.

From reading the reviews on Amazon, it seems that one fact card per state is about all you get. That's a big complaint (very few facts; only well-known items).

I've already called customer service, and they had no clue. Guess I'll have to create my own questions! I should have the kids create questions for each other!!

@ Ohio Mom: Yes, that's me! We are doing well, and I hope you and your family are, too! I remember that trip fondly.

I had to stop homeschooling when we moved to Michigan. It was a very tough time in our lives and I just couldn't do what I needed to do effectively. I look back on the past three years and am thankful that I didn't have a nervous breakdown.

Now we are back in Ohio, in the same town we used to live in, and are actually in a much better situation than we were before. Funny how we had to hit rock bottom, lose so much, ony to come around and end up right where we need to be.

The kids are still in public school. In order to continue getting our life back to normal, I need to work. I will always be a homeschooler at heart and much of how we live our lives reflects that. But, the kids are doing well and enjoying it. I work as a substitute teacher and while I enjoy it and it gives me the flexibility I need with 5 kids, it can also be very depressing--seeing the same things that I saw in my first teaching job in my pre-childhood days (which led me to homeschool to begin with!). As I sub, I have noticed--and other subs have said the same thing--that the kids/schools in my town are very well-behaved compared to some of the surrounding districts so I am happy to know that some of the social challenges encountered in many public schools are less of an issue where my kids are going--although not completely absent!

Hopefully, I can continue to pop in on the forum, and be welcome even though I no longer homeschool! I loved visiting this site regularly and my heart and intentions are still in line with the homeschooling philosophy!

Please let me know how you are. I truly mean it when I say that I have thought of the people on this forum often over the last few years.
