Oh my sweet little children are driving me crazy today. LOL.. Love them to pieces but some days I just get so tired of having to fight them to do their schoolwork.. Mostly the boys that gives me fits.. Today they told me they were done with their work less than 2 hours after we started. I KNEW it wasn't true because all they had done all morning was mess around and had no focus.. I let it go because I needed to help dd8 get her schoolwork done.. But once her school was done I had the boys bring me their schoolwork and the planner. I was totally right.. Ds15 hadn't done all his math, didn't do his spelling, and "forgot" to do typing. Ds13 didn't do his English from yesterday OR today, and actually went to the effort to change my lesson plan to make it look like I assigned the same work 2 days in a row for his math.. And he didn't even do all of what I assigned yesterday even though he checked it off. It was time for lunch by then and I had already warned them that lunch will not be served until they completed their work. They were mad but didn't take me serious.. I stuck to my guns. They finally got their work done and ate lunch.. It was after 1 by that point. Mind you we began our school day at 7:30 this morning.. So there was absolutely NO excuse as to why it wasn't finished. It was rough and I just wanted to let it go, but I KNOW that if I don't get a handle on it now it's just going to continue to spiral out of control. ds13 is on the verge of loosing his phone right now because of his attitude.. Then add this in.. I am SOoooo Not messing with this again this year. I WILL perservere.. LOL..

I am so thankful that my girls don't do the same thing.. I would totally go crazy!! I'm so tired right now that I would LOVE to go to bed and it's only 8:30.. ((deep breath)) only 3 more days and the weekend will be here. I can do this!!! I CAN do this!! I WILL do this!! LOL....

Ugh!!! I don't like days like this either! Ours have been pretty scattered lately. I know we didn't get a thing done in History yesterday. My youngest dd almost lost her ability to speak because of her mouth. I had to tell her there's a fine line between witty comebacks and being a smart allec. Hopefully today will be better for all of us.

I gave up on today and didn't do a darn thing! They did take care of their animals so I guess that counts for something.

LOL.. We got school done but their chores that they were assigned YESTERDAY have yet to be done.. Just dropped the boys off at church to set up the stage for the youth band. They'll be playing tonight. So when they get home they are in BIG trouble.. I fought them ALL day to get their chores done.. Oldest wanted to argue that he did in fact clean the bathroom.. HELLO the toilet, counter tops and the floor were NOT clean!! So I don't know what he thought he cleaned.. But I have more chores for him in the bathroom after church.. I think under the sink needs cleaned and the windows need to be washed and the walls are in need of some attention as well.. Soooo he won't be happy but I warned them and they knew the consequences.. Younger son was supposed to clean the car but shoved it all behind one of the seats where he thought I wouldn't see it.. So he's going to be out there taking care of that and I'll think of some other stuff to add to that chore.. Probably washing the inside of the windows and wiping down the seats.. When will they learn?? ((sigh)) Just do what you are told WHEN you are to and things are so much easier on themselves AND on me!! Well, once again, tomorrow is a new day.. Hehe..

Lots of commiseration from me today. We had the crummiest homeschool day we've had in a loooooooong time.

Today has been SOoooo much better!! So far ds13 finished all his work and did it perfectly.. Ds15 had an attitude adjustment by his daddy this morning so he's doing his work. And both girls are nearly finished.. We haven't done history yet but that won't take long.. Ds13 will be 14 tomorrow :( So he's going to lunch with a friend today.. He worked really hard and I'm pleased with how he behaved today.. I threatened him with loosing his cell phone if he didn't start doing his work. That's his lifeline. LOL..

I've gotten 3 loads of laundry washed, dried, and put away. And will be going into the girls bedroom to get it organized. Then out into the yard to do yard work.. I have LOTS of motivation today.. It's always so much easier when the kids cooperate..
