...a homing device on his wallet! It drives me crazy. I feel like we're constantly looking for his wallet. I have a place for it in the house. Years ago I bought a key rack that has slots for mail and such. The top one is where his wallet is supposed to go. He leaves it in the car, at work, in coat pockets, on the dresser upstairs. Once, before we were married, I found it in the street outside my house after he had driven the 2 hours home and realized he didn't have it.

Is my husband the only one that has a hard time holding on to his wallet?

lol, he's not the only one. There IS another person. That would be me :)

But I lose many more things too. I actually lost a shoe. Was fine when we left home. When we reached our destination, I was short one shoe. Had to drive back home, and voila, it was in the parking lot. They were sandals, and somehow it had slipped off my foot when I stepped into the car. I often take off my shoes in the car, esp heels...
    :)

Ds just asked me the other day, "Is there an app to help find lost things?" Keep dreaming child of the technology era.

My dh is the same way. He looses his wallet/misplaces it at least once a month. It drives me crazy!

Yeah I would love if he would use one of those. Part of the problem is that he likes to be comfortable and he does not find it comfortable to have a wallet in his pocket. That's why he always takes it out of his pocket when he gets in the car or to his office.

Occasionally we see one shoe on the side of the road, and my kids will ask "Who loses ONE shoe?" (I guess now we know ;) )

I just said the exact same thing the other day! I remember years ago dh had a keychain that if you whistled it would beep back. (He loses his keys a lot too.) So, it seems you should be able to make an app that if you whistled it would whistle back (but that would be for finding your lost iPhone. (Yup he loses that too.)

A few years back, my dh drove off with two sets of car keys on the roof of the car. One set had a duplicate, the other was key-coded and had to be replaced at the dealer. He drove several miles down the road and when he came back you can guess which set was still on the roof! My ds gave us a new key for Christmas lol. A very expensive mistake!

As an idea for a small business, I once looked into a device that does exactly this: A very small beeper that you could attach to various items: wallet, keys, shoes, remote control, and so on. They'd come in a set of 12, each a different color, and be activated by pressing that color button on a remote control device. Of course, you'd need to buy a second set - so you wouldn't lose the remote for the first set!
