I thought I would grab a crumb or two off my keyboard while vacuuming... well, I sucked up a key, the "" key, now I have to put it back on, all is well but wow I had hair and dust come out of there first! lol. Glad I did this I bet my keys stop sticking now too once I get my quotes back up I wont have to push the little rubber button but the actual key. Btw, this is not advised! I had to dig through my vacuum bag to get to it piece by disgustingly dusty piece ( yuck!) to find it! it is intact and will be able to be put on I am making sure it dries all the way cause I had to clean it! lol. Some one needs to get a cleaner that really works on lap tops, something less than 12 but more than a spray can. The spray can does not work on my presario. That is what I have used for several times and it was this bad? Yikes! :shock:
My daughter sucked up her daddy's tie in the vacuum one time... we had to just throw it away it was so yucky!
oh that's hilarious! My laptop is missing the arrow up key on the side. My dog swiped his paw across my laptop one day and caught his nail under it. I actually never did put it back on. I guess I was just lucky it didn't catch any other keys and/or do more damage!
They have a special air canister to clean keyboards with. It's called (according to the computer geek I'm married to) a Compressed Air Canister.
I know Jackie I tried that, but it does not work well on lap tops and I was just vacuming near the area and thought Id do a quick pass over lol so funny but good I was able to do what I did eh
lol, glad you posted this, I've been meaning to vacuum my laptop for some time now, jsut never got around to it. I never considered the possiblility of the keys being sucked off...hehehehe
