Hey everyone, I'm Katie. I'm 24 years old, married, and I have a 4-year-old daughter who I will be homeschooling beginning in August. I also have a full-time job (yikes!!). But that's ok, because my husband and I are determined to work as a team to make sure our girl gets the best education she can get. I have been doing research for weeks on curriculums, socialization activities, field trip ideas, and local homeschooling laws. It's a lot to take in, but I'm getting more and more excited by the minute, and my daughter is looking forward to mommy teaching her at home. I've joined HomeschoolSpot with the hope that I can connect with other homeschooling families either in my area or across the country. It will be great to speak with other families that are homeschooling since I don't know very many families that do. I look forward to getting to know all of you!!
Welcome! You may want to post the area (at least state) you live in if you hope to find people in your area. Feel free to jump in with any questions and enjoy the journey ahead.
Good luck, Katie! And welcome! I work full time and homeschool a 16 year old. So I know all about the juggle and the sacrifices! Good for you for trying to make it all work, though. You won't know if you don't try and I think it's amazing and awesome that you are willing to make it work for your little girl!
Welcome from another Georgian, but all the way across the state in Columbus! Jennifer, mom to 5 daughters, 4, 8, 11, 12, and 21
