I used an old crib mattress covered with an old sheet to help ds find a better way to practice spelling. He HATES spelling and really anything to do with reading and writing. So, I wrote the alphabet on an old sheet and put it over an old crib mattress. I would have used an old crib sheet, but got rid of those last month during a cleaning streak . Of course, that is the way it goes. Ds loves getting to puch out his spelling words. Or, we get creative and touch the letters with his nose, ear, etc. After he punches it out, he writes it on paper. I really think it helps. And, he gets to look back at the letters and visualize what he had punched to "see" what to write. He also gets in some practice for karate. I am also allowing him breaks during other subjects to run in and have a few minutes to punch out his wiggles (like a punching bag). Oh, and it also makes a great trampoline:lol:. Thought I would share in case it could help someone else.
Awesome!! A lot of books talk about being multi-sensory programs, but your's takes the cake!! Love it!
