So what special plans do you have for today? I hate to say this but I have not even bought my girls anything for Valentines. But we are going to go to a sister churches Banquet this evening. My dd14 was asked to help babysit all the little ones.. so she will have a blast! (and they will pay her!!! how exciting is that) Ok, you can tell me I am a horrible mother for not planning anything... no really it ok! :lol:
I never plan anything. I guess I'm not a big Valentine kind of person. dh had cards and boxes of candy for the kids. I had no plans for today, until dh woke me up with candy, earrings, and a movie I'd been wanting. Then he hands me a wad of cash with a sheepish look on his face and says" this is in case you, ya know, need to go to town and get anything, or something. Whatever you need, ya know?" He might as well have just winked at me and said "hint hint". Sigh. Now I have to figure out what to get him. I am so bad at this. If you get the bad mom award, I get the bad wife award.
LOL..... I did not even get my husband anything! We decided that he did not need candy. I did send him an e card! He normally would get the girls something and then I got flowers or some gift but for the last few years I have gotten nothing. (money is tight, I would rather a date night!) We have this understanding. So I get the bad mom and wife award!
The kids gave us a $25 gift card to O'Charley's for Christmas. They have a special deal, so we plan on using it tonight.
we don't anything... I never made it a big holiday with the girls. I think its enough out there they don't need Valentine Days..
I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's day, so I don't usually make a big deal about it. Because my oldest is in PS, my youngest wanted to do something, so we made some cookies and made a heart-shaped pizza for dinner tonight. He made some valentines and handed them out to people we knew too. ~Jeri
nope my oldest is in college and youngest and I just mowed the lawn. Nothing big just another day.. Told dh Valentine Day should be every day in a marriage not just one day.
We didn't do anything. We never do though. My girls made some cards in case they saw anyone yesterday, which we didn't. They have all been invited to go to a party today at their old school for the "Good News Club" which is after school and a Child Evangelism group. I told them they could go. It is 1 hour and they ladies that teach it are awesome. That is it.
