Went...slow...LOL We studied ancient China. Did a science experiment. Worked on algebra and an outline for language arts. We did everything in small bursts to keep it interesting. So far it's going good. I felt a little sadness about no friends being around, but then all the school buses arrived and all the kids in our small development (about 150 kids live here) came a running. It's actually nice out, so he's outside playing basketball with them. I actually feel pretty relaxed about the whole thing. I'm sure I'll have bad days, but I'm counting this one as a win!
May God bless you for doing this. I read your story and it brought tears to my eyes just reading what your son has gone through. From having a son who is very sensitive my heart goes out to your family; just imaging what it's been like. May God also give you wisdom for each day. Enjoy every moment. Praying for you.
How exciting! Like anything, of course there will be bad days, but the good will outweigh the bad! Welcome to homeschooling!
Thanks everyone. Suffering insomnia right now, so I figure I'll just plan out today while I'm wide awake and bug eyed! LOL
Thanks everyone. Couldn't seem to find time to log on much. Today we only focused on math, so we're done! We started at 9am and worked till 11am with some breaks in there. He already knew most of the concepts, so that's why it took so long....we just kept going till we found something he didn't get and worked on that till he did. Then for Art, he drew a portrait. This weeks is about portraits, subjects etc.... Tonight we may read a bit on the Roman Empire and how Greece culture influenced the Romans...yay LOL For now, we're going to buy poster board for a new project to go along with the Romans topic. I'm really enjoying spending time with him.
