My younger brother hasn't been blessed with a wife and kids yet. He supports homeschooling but hasn't got a clue what to expect from a nearly 6y/o girl so he has unrealistically high expectations of what she should be able to do. Anyway, a few days ago he was helping her with her English workbook while I was busy but in the same room. I told him he'd have to read the instructions to her and help her with spelling, easy enough, right? Half an hour later he was saying it's her parents job to do this and bailed. When I checked the work all of the sentences were incomplete and he'd mispelt words like wright instead of write and he'd gotten muddled with same sounding words like there/their/they're. He'd had his ego knocked, his I.Q is upper 130's, but English was never his strong point. Later that day he said, "Maybe if I was homeschooled as a child I'd have learnt this stuff." Not so easy is it, bro? P.S Don't look too closely at my spelling and grammar. I'm learning with my daughter
