Some of you may remember a few years back that I posted about my husband having back pain that ended up being a result of 5 compression fractures in his spine.. He was ultimately diagnosed with osteoporosis and given meds to keep it from spreading.. A few weeks ago his hip started bothering him.. To the point that he couldn't walk unless he was holding onto something.. It was pitiful watching him. Finally broke down and got him a cain and that helps him get around but he's in serious pain.. Had tests done and they don't see anything going on with his hip.. He is on pain meds and the doctor refuses to refill them early. He is barely taking anything as it is and now the hip pain going on he has taken more than what he's prescribed.. He's out of meds and won't be able to get more until the 14th.. This has been a HUGE run around.. We can't seem to get any help.. We are now on the search for ANOTHER doctor who will do something to fix the pain. Not just take the edge off.. His quality of life is compromised and this is having negative affects on our family.. So something else has to be done.. Please pray that we can find a doctor that will work with us and get him better.. And that we can find a way to help him cope with the pain until he gets his refill. He is only 35 and this is really hard on him and all of us.. Thanks Angela
girl I feel your pain. My dh has been in tons and tons of pain we finally after 3 years found a doctor and they told him he has carpal tunnel in both hands. RA all over the body and gout. Wow now we are busy going from this doctor to another.
Pharmacy called and they can refill his prescription tomorrow!! 2 days early but 2 days is 2 days.. So we are thankful for that!! Will be up there first thing in the am to pick them up.. Oh, And IF my husband is a candidate for any kind of procedure that will fix him, it will be payed for!! But that's IF there is anything they can actually do.. So keep praying!!!
Tomorrow hubby has an appointment for a referral.. PLEASE pray.. We need to find the "right" doctor to help my husband.. He is in so much pain he was crying last night and he didn't go to work today.. We need some major intervention!!!
Today hubby had an MRI and a Bone Density Scan.. Hopefully we will get some answers and he can get some relief.. While he was in the MRI he had several hard pops in his back. They actually moved his body when they happened. Gave his some relief but it was short lived.. We just got a call from the radiologist and they want more images done.. Wonder what the deal is.. Makes me nervous.. Please pray...
