I just have to share the amazing thing that happened to us today. As usual, I drop my 10 year old son off at soccer training. Practice starts at 1:30 (dinner break at 5:30), but most of the kids arrive around 1 to warm-up and play around. Some get there as early as 12:30. We drive up (gates open), he gets out and goes into the (unlocked) locker room. There are cars in the parking lot. This is all very standard (daily for the last several months). I drive off, head home, about 30min away. As I am exiting the traffic jammed freeway, I suddenly feel very uneasy. The feeling gets stronger and suddenly I know something is wrong with my son. Turns out, my son forgot his cell phone - bought for when he's at practice. I call a friend whose son is also in the program to see if she happens to be just arriving and can check for me - no answer. I head back to the fields, and start calling the director/ head coach. He finally answers and tells me they changed venues and no one is at the original fields. They "'thought" everyone got the email! I am SOOO thankful that God spoke to me today. When I got there, 45 min after leaving him, he was so upset! He wanted to borrow a phone from a teenager working out, but didn't have my or my husbands numbers memorized (new city, new numbers, and they're all saved in his phone!) He thought he'd be all alone until 5:30! He said he sat there and prayed and cried! Thank you God for letting me know something was "off" today! How many days have I dropped him off just like that, and not thought twice about it...
Proof that God is always around and watching out for us and our children! What a wonderful miracle! Hug that little man, tell him you and Jesus love him very much and bask in the inner faith you are feeling now!!
How awesome that at his age he is already depending on God! Kudos mom. This will re-inforce in his heart that he can always depend on God. Thankful too, that you were sensitive to His prompting!
This gave me goosebumps and tears in my eyes! Your son prayed, God responded , and you listened to God's prompting!! What a day!! LOVE THIS!
