We have sooooo many kids in our neighborhood that we actually have a small area set aside for 'neighbor kid food'. But I was still worried about pulling him out of PS... Guess I can stop worrying
The only 'quiet' place is the backyard. Yesterday we planted some seeds. While we were out there, we found this guy in the backyard:
Our development is bordering a nature preserve, so we get the best of both worlds This is DS7, he found some lizards yesterday.
That's their herb garden behind them. They're gonna plant veggies in the dirt plant in front of them.

wow, busy neighborhood. There is not a single kid on our street I would let my kids associate with. Glad you've got that.
My kids have always been told 'no socializing' at school. And when they do, it usually means gossip, fighting, teasing etc... At least at home, they can CHOOSE who's around them.
Wow-those pics took me back! That is the ONE thing I miss about living in a subdivision verses the boonies! I grew up in a similar neighborhood-streets filled with neighborhood kids playing. Such great memories! We live in the boonies and currently have no children other than mine living on our road, so play time with other kids has to be random park meetings or planed play dates... Great pics!

yes, it's a good area to homeschool. There are several families homeschooling here. It's spreading. The neighbors talk. Usually people will ask how it works cuz they think it's 'weird', but then they wind up doing it to
