Praying for her and for the Lord to miraculously intervene on the children's behalf. There was no mention of HSLDA....do they get involved in cases like this?
They won't interfere in custody cases. Though they occasionally make exception for the parts of the case that can have long-term impact on homeschooling. Which, I'd think this would. Since it's sets legal precedent to view homeschooling as an inferior form of education that produces unsocialized kids.
I hate reading stories like this, it just makes me sick to my stomach for these people, especially the children. It also makes me sick because I know EXACTLY what kind of people the grandparents were because my MIL could easily be one of them if DH and I ever got divorced in an alternate reality. Vindictive, lying, twisted people. I will be praying for these children.
I think what bothers me is the Texas has really relaxed homeschooling laws. But the Judge is making it so that she can't homeschool. Even though legally it is just fine.
This is unbelievable... If anyone knows this victim of governmental abuse please advise her so set up a legal fund. I would gladly make a donation.
This is so wrong and the father had the nerve to say they own the court room. I will keep her and her children in my prayers.
Terrible. I'm so grateful that my children's father is supportive of my decision to homeschool our children and has no intention of attempting to take custody of them. That poor mother and those poor babies.
