Does anyone know anything about this series by E.D. Hirsch? I know there is a teacher's edition so I'm wondering if this can be used as a complete curriculum or just a supplement? I would still use the math we are using but was wondering about the rest. Thanks.
Here is a link the CORE knowledge site for questions by home schoolers- have you seen this? http://www.coreknowledge.org/mimik/mimik_live_data/view.php?id=1833&record_id=199#RP I only know about the books that are in bookstores not teachers guides, but it sounds like it is only that a guide- to help you come up with lessons but from the site it sounded like you would have to come up with the plans, etc. Also on the site it has a lesson plans page it mentioned as well as a forum or something for home schoolers to ask questions- might look into that! Good luck! =)
I have the Core Knowledge books for 1st and 3rd graders to use as a rough guide, and I also have used many of their lesson plans on the website (free, and VERY thorough in the subjects I have used!) for literature, science, and history. I am sorry that I am not more familiar with other resources!
I used teh preschool book for paddy and Kori awhile back. It was really nice, and we actually had to buy 2 because we got so much use out of them!!
