My niece is a competitive gymnast at the same gym my daughter is part of. She is a Level 9, and had made it to Regionals which is next weekend.

Well, on Monday she had an accident on the bars and may have broken her pelvic bone. She finds out Monday. The MRI was today.

Please pray for her....for healing...for her body....for her mind. She EATS, SLEEPS, BREATHES gymnastics. She was well on her way to a full scholarship at Penn State (yes, it starts this early, she's only in 8th grade!!!!). She already had a partially torn MCL and was due to have surgery at the end of the season.

Sitting still is not something she does well.

Anyway, I know my niece, and I know she is devastated. Thank you.

Oh, OWW!!! Poor thing! No, sitting out isn't easy. Rachael broke her big toe in the last indoor soccer game, and refused to miss outdoor practice! I sent the coach an email saying that if she comes, she coudn't DO anything! And he did make her be good. She's going to miss the game Sunday, but next week is Easter so there isn't a game that week, and it's healing well enough that she might make the game the next week.

UPDATE! Final result was that she has a severely sprained back! Nothing is broken at all. She is back at the gym (nuts, I think!) and practicing. Regionals is in two weeks, and providing she does not make Nationals, she's going to take a break after to heal. (her chances of making Nationals is fairly slim b/c they only take the top 6 from each age group, and with an injury, the likelihood of her being in the top 6 is slim). Anyway....THANKS for praying, please continue to pray for complete healing!
