The thread about the home school law made me think of this, and rather than hijack the thread as I usually do ( lol I am keeping it real) I started this one!
What would YOU do if you could have anything, do anything, go anywhere for home school? What if money were no object; what would you choose?

I would have a room set up like some of you have for just schooling. So we could close the door at the end of the day.

I would have a pool and basket ball court and tennis court in my yard, so we could do PE up right!

I would have updated new top of the line lap tops so research and writing word essays would go faster. And maybe a smart board!
I would have a complete science kit so I could do real experiments with Chemistry, Biology and such!

I would jet off to wherever in the world to check out the land formations or the people we were studying.

I would live near enough to hike to the beach and collect stuff for art ad science and just plane fun.

I would also have a co op at my house once a week to do stuff that is so much more fun with a group.
.... OH! and I would have a soda and candy machine in my school room for prizes! HA!

If money were no object, I would have our family starts a business (or, better yet, a ministry). We could have fun with it and not have to worry about making money off of it. I would buy property to run summer programs for kids in foster care. And, of course, we would travel the world and see all the places we read about in history.

I would buy a mansion-on-wheels sort of RV with all the state-of-the-art learning tools (smart board, computers, etc.) and we'd road school. We'd travel the world!

I would love to have dh with us on this journey. I am always appreciative for how hard he works so that ds and I can homeschool and go on our field trips and outings. However, it would be wonderful if he could be free to do it all with us (and not just on the weekends). Many places we only go to during the week when it is less busy making it impossible for dh to join us.

Yay for that!! I would definitely have a staff, with a cook and maids and gardener, well-paid, of course!!

And travel, travel, travel!! With enough money so Dh could join us too :)

OOooooh yeah! First a huge house repair/remodel! So that we could "do school" anywhere in it. Second, a huge school repair/remodel. And buy all the classic literature (and hire a librarian to keep it all in order for me!). And the reference works and resource materials. Super cool computers. A new vehicle big enough to take anybody anywhere for field trips... in case we have more than 3 kids and 2 adults to go somewhere at the same time, which is what fits in my car at present. Or a pink jet, maybe???? LOL Surely a light plane so we could get to the field trip destinations quicker. Hire somebody to plan our itineraries, get all the tickets, find all the cool stuff to go to and do so I can just enjoy it with the kids.

I think I would have to add the maid to, at least a full staff becuase if money were no object I would have a mansion and it would have a bowling alley and horse ring plus all those trimmings, plus a GYM..... yeah, I would need a hundred acre wood!

Oh, I'd love the 100 acre wood! Or better yet, I'd love to run a camp. A family, homeschool-friendly camp!

An RV-we'd go on the road for at least a year. No textbooks, no formal class time, just good living books, and field trips to...everywhere! LOL

When we came home we'd have an in ground pool. ;)

money no object?? I'd start my own school!! Just like Jalen Rose did. I'd park that school right down town in the hood. Then I'd start inviting students in tuition free. Uniforms all around. Everyone gets an ereader.

Every morning starts with a prayer (non-denom of course!). Next is math. Every student would gather in one huge room. The more advanced students would be positioned near the less advanced students so they could help out when needed. The older students would have laptops at their work stations so they could use the Saxon Teacher DVDs when they got stuck. A few tutors would be wandering about to help out whenever needed. One lesson a day. No excuses.

After math, the ereaders come out and everyone reads. The older students read Jacob Abbott books (duh!); the younger students read Tom Swift or Thornton Burgess or any of the other kazillion books at mainlesson.com or Google book. After reading a chapter from Abbott, the students power up their computers again and write a blog post about they just read. Then an hour for lunch and general horsing around. After lunch, it's an hour of grammar time for the older students. Everyone does a lesson from Warriners English grammar and grades it.

Then it's time for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practice and (since money is no object) I'd have a couple of top MMA fighters help out. haha!! This is fun.

I suppose I'd have to work in some science and other stuff. Hmmm...... this is hard.

I would stop working, buy an awesome RV and an i-pad type thing and then go on a never ending field trip around New Zealand and then around the world... the ultimate unschooling adventure :D

Now where's that winning lotto ticket?

We travel fulltime now (thanks to Dave Ramsey's debt free plan) in our 3 bedroom RV and have done so for almost 2 years now. It has been the dream we thought it would be. We've been able to see many places in our history texts and learn loads just by being in the great outdoors A LOT. We are very happy to be living this lifestyle and the boys are thriving. If I had all the money in the world, I'd want to be able to do this forever or at least make sure we could continue to travel whenever we wanted so we could see the things we learn about.

If money were really no object.....hmmm...so many things I would want to do! I would want to buy a home on 50+ acres with a full sized gym and swimming pool. I would want a library for all my books AND a separate school room to keep our workbooks, pencils, markers and all that other stuff that doesn't fit into the "book" category. I would also add beanbags and a sofa and tables in that room.

I would have a fully loaded RV that we could travel in to see the country and learn about everything we read about. I would also travel the world with my kids so we could experience other cultures. I would love to take my kids on a mission to a poorer country to help build homes or a school or something for those children that don't have the opportunity for an education.
