    Has anyone used McGraw Hill?

I was at a library today. I wasn't out local library, but I noticed as i was walking by they had text books by McGraw Hill.....

These are the text books the ps uses in our location. They are just sitting there to use..... Unfortunately for me they only went up to 5th grade. But what a fantastic resourse.... I loved the book especially the math. Everything was so colorful. My kids eat that up.

Im not sure what type of learning it is but when my children do their school work they do much better with colorful pages. They will say things like, remember they talked about that in the red box.... How and why they remember that I have no clue but it works. I am finding in the higher grades, its harder and harder to supply these colorful materials....

But these books have them..... I went to look for them on line but couldn't find out where to buy them. Any suggestions......

The middle school books are normally printed by glencoe/mcgraw hill. Are you trying to find used copies? You can find the student editions at half.com normally but the teacher's editions are harder to get your hands on. Most publishers let hs'er order from them but the books are usually very expensive.

Ebay has LOTS of textbooks, i'm sure some Mcgraw-Hill are on there. They can run pretty expensive but some are as cheap as 99 cents!

If I have to use school textbooks, McGraw-Hill is my top choice. In my opinion, McGraw-Hill is better written, more colorful and better organized than any other that I've used.

Check Ebay for student books, as someone mentioned, as low as .99. I haven't had much luck finding TE. It's not even allowed on Ebay. One tip, though, is you can go to the publishers website and find the book online (provided its not too old). There you can access multiple choice tests, crossword puzzles, flash cards and other content. When I don't have the TE, I will have the kids read the chapter, write definitions to boldface words, and at times, complete the graphic organizer. They then take the multiple choice online test, which will score when you hit 'submit'. It worked fine to me and I didn't miss the TE.

On Amazon, they have thousands of McGraw Hill texts for sale, going right through all school year levels. The Mathematics workbooks you mention are available up to year 8.
