Does anyone have any suggestions for things to check out for schience on you tube? ........ besides dry ice (which the kids have loved watching)
I use you tube occasionaly to supplement what the lesson was. I do not have one site or person that I use for science. But I will do a search for the topic that I am looking for and the grade level. For instance we just did a unit on magnents, so I went to youtube and searched for "1st grade magnents" or "how magnents work 1st grade" and look through the results to find what I'm looking for. I also use this website www.neok12.com for videos, this website covers almost every subject but doesnt have every topic under each subject (if that makes sense )
We found 2 places this last year that the boys like: www.exploration.edu (under "explore" is many more science things to explore) Its a cow eye ball dissection http://www.exploratorium.edu/learning_studio/cow_eye/ and They also loved this place: http://www.tpt.org/newtons/
Not YouTube, but videos. http://msnucleus.org/membership/guide/storybooks.html http://www.watchknowlearn.org/Category.aspx?CategoryID=86 http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/video/ http://www.sqooltools.com/edvideos/shr/master.html http://sqooltools.com/edvideos/ http://www.discoveryeducation.com/teachers/
