I am looking into using the charlottemasonhelp.com curriculum next year. Have any of you used it? Opinions? Is Charlotte Mason's learning a successful way? Trying to plan out next year and I'm a little confused
Hi! I use CM and LOVE it! Can't say enough good things about it. www.amblesideonline.com is a very good resource and I pull some literature selections and natural science book suggestions from it. My absolute all time favorite CM resource is www.charlottemasonhelp.com. Pretty much everything you would ever want to know is there. It has been a God send for us. She not only uses excellent books but shows a real way to implement them into your home. My dd9 has such a strong love for Shakespeare that she never would have had without CM Help. It has shown me that things like copywork, dictation and rich literature at a young age can really really work.
I use the simplycharlottemason.com site for artist, composer, and poet study. Plus I use their narration idea list across our curriculum. I pull nature study type stories from their list too to read. I can't relax into a relaxed enough state of mind to let CM be our main curriculum, but I do love the ideas.
I am using the curriculum this year for my 4 year old for grade 1 curriculum! I am super psyched about it!!! It seems like my ideal plan for my kids. It's so informative, keeps them on their toes, but it's super relaxed at the same time and cost effective since we only have to buy notebooks, notecards, and a couple of books we can get on Amazon for $1.
Thank you ladies!! I really feel like it will be a great thing for us. I always love to hear from others who have used something first!
