Tim has 2 more new compression fractured vertebra in his spine.. So that's a total of 8 plus more fractures in the old ones.. We were referred to a MD/ pain specialist and told there is absolutely no surgery to be done.. Got to the specialist and he procedes to tell us that he truly believes there is a tumor somewhere in my husbands body eating up the calcium and causing the brittle bones.. He said his bones are so brittle that he is at risk of having his femur snap just from walking.. SCARY!! He ordered an MRI scan of his brain and some blood work.. We have NEVER had any blood work! He was VERY irritated over that.. Said that he hadn't been worked up and looked over.... I'm aggrivated.. Hubby said he believes that there is something else going on and nobody would listen.. maybe FINALLY we are going to find out what's going on!! We added aflac cancer to our suppliment policies being that we have NO other insurance this will help just in case.. We are waiting the 30 days for it to kick in before any tests.. Please pray for us.. We have no idea what the future holds.. Nobody ever does, but we are fairly certain that we have some tough things coming up that our family will have to deal with... It's already been a tough road not knowing what's going on..
Wow! I can't believe he hadn't alread had any testing done, but perhaps the bright side is that you're getting a little warning to have time to add more insurance. Perhaps it'll end up being nothing, but I'm glad someone is finally listening.
Oh my. I cannot believe no one did any blood work just to rule stuff out. Praying that they find the cause and that the bills will be manageable.
