Am I the only nerd looking forward to seeing this movie?? I just purchased midnight premiere tickets for hubby and I.. We've been waiting for it to come out so making a date of it and the kids are gonna be home sleeping.. The teens were looking forward to going but I wanna go ALONE with hubby and if they go we have to take the girls too and the movie will be over around 2:30am so not a good thing for the younger ones..
OH MY GOD!!!! I am DYINNGGGG to see the movie! We're comics fans at home here and have lengthy discussions about the various plots and characters, lol Its so funny you post this, I was just talking to Dh, he wants to make plans with a friend for the weekend, and I said "you can do whatever you want, but if you watch The Avengers without me, I will never talk to you again!" I'm so jealous, you get to see it with hubby. I have to wait until the rush has died down, so we can go with the kids....last year when Captain America came out, they went with their masks and costumes.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they made a DC movie, with the main characters, I would probably faint
I saw it yesterday. IT WAS AWESOME. Hilariously funny, with all sorts of tiny things added in which were irrelevant to plot or character, but were purely there to make the movie awesome. It is perfectly obvious that the writers sat in a room and said, "right. We've written the film. Now how can we make it awesomer?" And that makes me happy. You will not be let down. This is the best movie I've seen all year.
Hey, I'm all for a Date Night!!! We're planning on catching it when it hits the Dollar Theatre. But at the same time, late night stuff with the kids can be fun, too! Last summer, we woke the kids up at 2:30 AM to take them to Steak and Shake (because they have half-price milkshakes from 2-4 AM and PM, and thought it would be a blast.) So this Spring Break, Phillip asked if we could do it again. Instead, we planned a late-night movie night. I made all kinds of "grazing" food (including an awesome recipe I found of potato chunck wrapped in bacon!!!), and when our third movie was done, we went to Steak and Shake.
Not a fan of this, honestly. Meh. Don't know why! I love going tot he movies though! Back when Pirates of the Carribbean came out (and we had no children ) We stood in line for 2 hours just to see it! Good times! I do however think that DH secretly wants to go....lol We WILL be there for Batman tho...
Well, my teen kids ended up going with our tickets instead. Hubby and I still have a date for tomorrow night.. I CAN'T wait to see it! The kids said it was AWESOME!!!!
We may go see it tomorrow night, in 3D no less! ha. Really the only reason I'd concede to 3D is because we'll be in town for church at 5 pm and the movie is at 7:15; we would have to wait until 8 pm for the next "regular" showing, otherwise. I'm thinking I'll come out ahead money wise if we just go to the 7:15 showing vs killing time at the mall or something! LOL! But, it's been years and ages since I've seen a 3D movie in the theatre, so it might be fun to splurge and I think this movie would be worth it!
