Have to share!

No one but a homeschool mom would be excited about this...

I just bought a binding machine and I'm so excited I'm about to POP!!! LOL

For $50 I got the binding machine and 48 full size binding combs (just because it was only $2 for 48 of them) and 100 half size binding combs because most of the books I print out I print in booklet form because that's the size they were formatted for so they are totally readable and it saves paper. (4 'pages' of the book on one sheet of paper!)

Add in the fact that I stocked up on $0.01 reams of paper a couple of years ago and the fact that my ink cartridges cost me $0.56 each and that equals some seriously cheap books!

This week I'm going to print out the books I want and the binder should be here by next Friday. Next weekend I'm going to be a binding mad woman! hahaha

The only question remaining really is... what can't be bound? I'm sure you'll push it to the limit!

 

I've never wanted one before, but this year I'm thinking I'm going to need one! Please share your secret for getting such cheap ink cartridges!? You totally rocked that deal!

 

The trick for cheap ink is to hang out at the homeschool spot! LOL I forget who, but someone here told about this printer. The printer is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it because of the cheap ink cartridges...

This is the printer which was under $350 when I bought it-:roll:amazon price fluctuations.

Then I get these ink cartridges.

I'd look for other brother printers that take these cartridges maybe, duplex printing is important though-makes printing books easy, you don't have to manually flip the paper-I never printed on both sides when *I* had to flip the paper with my old printer! LOL

 

Oh so jealous!!! I was just thing the other day how I would love to have one of those!!

Where did you find paper so cheap??? I go through a lot it seems.

 

2 years ago Staples had a back-to-school sale that included several items for $0.01. You paid full price then got a mail-in rebate so your paper only cost you $0.01. There was a limit of 2, but I got 2, hubby got 2, then we went back in did it again.

I'm about out though so I'm hoping for a good sale again this year somewhere. Come August I'm going to be check the sales at all the office supply stores each week! :lol:

 

I think it was Sommer who told me about the Brother printer with cheap ink! (it's been bothering me since I posted! LOL)
