Hi everyone, My name is Suzy and I am a 41yo, mom of 5 (ages 18(boy),18(boy),16(boy),16(boy),16(girl)-stepfamily but w/custody of all), wife , nursing student and will be homeschooling again. I homeschooled my children from grades of K5 to 6th grade. Last year we homeschooled was 2006. We were blessed to find a school (private) that taught the same curriculum we did , atleast for the first year. So it was an easy transition. Even though the school did not "advertise" as being a christian school, they did offer chapel every Wednesday in the gym for the ones who wanted to attend. I was also president of a local homeschool support group. I do remember the guidelines for homeschooling but unfortunately I do not remember all the curriculums available. I need suggestions on curriculum but will post that under the curriculum thread. I can't wait to meet everyone, become refreshed and learn some new ideas, and maybe give tips also.
Welcome I am new too, but not to homeschooling!!! WOW, to have all those children at the same ages!! I to am in school part-time. I am a mom of 1 DD age 10. I have homeschool since January 2007, she was in a Christian ACE Private School for JK and half of SK. We didn't know what to use for grade one, I used who knows what. Grade 2 and 3, some 4, we used R&S. We have just had two really bad years, (totally a to long story), so I wanted to start fresh and change things for the better for us. I need to switch to a workbook style so I restarted grade 4, to CLE. TODAY!!!! Welcome
Yeah more high schoolers! Welcome Back! We are using some great curricula for our Sophomore year in the fall I will look for your post!
