Emily left this morning with her Youth Group for a week at camp. I am missing her but know she will get a blessing from it and learn a lot. Please keep her in your prayers since she isn't used to being away from family for that long. Yeah she is sheltered and I don't care who knows it. Our daughter Crystal's best friend is on the trip (She is 19) and will be rooming with Em since one girl backed out at the last minute and left a spot for Emily to room with Sara. They could take cell phones if they wanted to as long as they followed the camp rules about when they could have them out but Em chose to leave her's home. I was proud of her for that. Freddy keeps asking if she remembered this and remembered that. He is as bad as me over her. She is the baby of seven so she is very precious and special to us. I get it now why my mother acted so protective of my younger sister. There is just something about that baby I guess. Who am I kidding. I act this way over all of them! Anyway please remember her and her small but wonderful group this week. Thanks.

my daughter went to camp last week and had a blast. It has been so good and such a blessing to my kids. (and to me. Getting 6 day's break from 14 yo drama is rather pleasant!)
We are all missing her but she is fine. She was on a group phone call to my sister at church today. Pammie, my sister, said it was a lot of laughing and talking at once and everyone was great. I can't wait for her to get home on Saturday. She is going to get a huge surprise from my son in law. He was able to get four tickets to a concert by some group she has been really wanting to see. We had heard they were sold out through next year but Richard found four tickets for next Wed. night. I don't really know what they sing but it is some group called something like One Direction or something like that. They would only sell the tickets in a four pack so Em gets to take someone with her. She is going to be so thrilled. My daughter, Richard's wife Katie, called me today crying saying I am crying because I am happy. I didn't know what to think and she said Richard got Emily tickets to see One Direction. Katie was as excited about it as Emily is going to be! My crazy kids!
oh I am sure she is having so much fun.. and miss you all too. She will be ready to talk your head off when she gets home... Happy she is going to the concerts hope she has a great time.
Emily had a wonderful time at camp and can't wait to go back next year. One of the adults on the trip didn't act very nice but it is okay. That lady will not be going back next year.
