Do any of you use these?? If so do you make your own pages or do you download premade pages?

I generally use a teacher lesson plan book for myself and student organizers from Office Depot for my kids. This year I am trying the Well Planned Day planner for myself and the WPD student planners for my 8th graders. It looks nice, may be a little more that I really need, but I will give it a try for a year!

Every Monday (for the most part!) we get together and plan what lessons to do when and they write it down in their planners. They then check it off when done. It really helped us stay on target last year!

Thank you ladies!! I am having a hard time staying on track with everything and was thinking about making one... I just wasn't sure how to go about all of it and if there were pre-made pages out there. I will check out your suggestions!!

I use excel to organize while they're little. With my older, I'm realizing I need something more. I picked up a teacher organizer from the Teacher Spot of my local Dollar Tree. It's working really well right now.

I like using the well planned day printed planner. I did not like their student planners though. I bought student planners from lakeshore learning for my middle school students.

I used to :D LOL I'm having a lazy summer break right now though! haha

I'm very much a list girl. I have to have a detailed list I can check off. I make my own usually (because the OCD prevents me from using a less than perfect list! LOL)

    I have a morning list http://gapeachhomeschool.yolasite.com/resources/Daily Dozen.pdf

    Then I have a nightly list too http://gapeachhomeschool.yolasite.com/resources/Nightly Nine.pdf

Since hubby went to night shift though I find it hard to get my morning list done as our whole life/routine has shifted. Used to he was already gone by the time me and the kids got up. Now, he's home and I help get him off to work. I cook a big lunch instead of a big dinner and I feel very rushed from the time we get up until he leaves for work, so I need to rework my lists.

We're using AO this year so I designed and printed out my own planner to put in a 3 ring binder. It has a daily cheklist for Bible, math, etc-then a weekly check list for artist study, composer study, etc. Then the weekly scheduled readings are printed on each week with blanks on the daily list so I can add the readings to the days as we need, since life changes and every week is different, but it keeps me from having to 'look up' what we are supposed to read that week.

It's been forever since I updated (or used) my household binder, I've been thinking I need to work on that again though, it does make life and housekeeping go smoother!

    Openminded,

What did you not like about the Well Planned Day student planners?

I have never been a planner but with 6 kids (2of them 2 and under and 4 in school) and all the household stuff, yardwork not to mention all the things for other people ( yes hubby included), I am having a hard time keeping up with everything. I am not trying to complain. I just need to get better organized and my home decluttered as possible, along with school. I appreciate all the advice and the links that you all are sending.

I got an adobe copy of one someplace unknown, lol can't remember where. But it is the perfect set up for me! I am planning to set up a month ahead in August, maybe a full quarter to keep both ds and I both on the same page. yes I said both twice on purpose because both is important I have to be keeping up with the lessons, He has to be kept up with the lessons.
Then all the rest of the household will run much better.

I need one but I really can't find one that works for me. I'm really not even sure what will, but I DO need one!

    Thanks for the freebie, JosieB!

I also found one I really liked the looks of recently. I think it was on Tanglewood - free literature based curricula ala SL. ;)

It was just a big open section of blank lines for each day.

I can get planners like that at the dollar tree for the kids. When we have planners like this, we never write our stuff in them. They just sort of collect dust for a year.
I really like this planner (the intermediate one only). We have used it before and I really like it.

This is the one we are using this year for my middle school girls.
