A little bit of everything here, quite a bit of no-name misc resources I want to get rid of for CHEAP! Bargain hunters haven! ;)

Didn't go through and list prices yet, but a lot of it I hadn't really come up with a price I wanted, so venture out and make me an offer. I'll edit once I decide to come up with prices but I'm pretty willing to take any reasonable offer on most of it.

PayPal preferred, money orders accepted as well as personal checks (will mail when it clears). Thanks for looking!!

I do have prices for these now, but didn't want to spend the time retyping everything here. Just PM me if you're interested! Prices negotiable. Shipping added will be actual shipping via media mail, usually about $5.

    Bible
itty-bitty Bible Activity Books. Volumes 1-4. Some worked in crayon.
    Rod & Staff
Bible Nurture and Reader Series. Grade 1 – We Learn About God. Units 4-5 readers only. This is the older version. Seems to match what I can find online through unit 4, and the first half of unit 5. The second half of unit 5 is hit-and-miss with the current TOC, so if you're using workbooks that's something to consider. Just cover my shipping on this one please.

    Christian Liberty Press
    Studying God's Word Book E teacher's manual
    Studying God's Word Book F teacher's manual
    Christian Light Publications
    LightUnit 201 answer key

    History/Geography
Our World Yesterday and Today. Scott-Foresman social studies, hardcover ps text, probably 6th grade. Published 1988. Front cover, spine, top and side page ends are black from a house fire over 10 years ago; I don't smell smoke on the outside but I can when I open it. Pages themselves are clean. Chapters include: Using Maps and Globes, The Geography of Our World, Events That Shaped Our Modern World, Europe and the Soviet Union, Africa, Asia and Oceania, North America and South America. This is a great resource and we really enjoyed using this. We used it for the 4th grade, and found it most helpful for the maps chapter and the geography basics which we used for an entire semester's course.

Reading TAKS Practice Workbook. Scott-Foresman. No answer key. Front cover is ripped near spine, and first 13 pages (out of 63) done in pencil with some pen corrective marks.

    Unit Study and MISC resources
What They Don't Teach You About History: Hundreds of Peculiar and Fascinating Facts. By Tim Wood and Ian Dicks. Hardcover, fair used condition: spine torn at top and pages have water damage, but no sticking and is very readable.
My Pyramid – Level 2, Lessons for Grades 3 and 4. Nutrition unit study, complete with posters, handouts, CD-ROM and game, reproducibles, lesson plans.

    Phonics and Early Elementary
A note about anything labeled “Duplicating Masters” - These are for the old mimeograph machines, so they are purple-y around the lines of the work pages. The paper itself is thin, almost like onion skin but not quite. Sometimes, especially on a busy page, they can be hard to see or read so I don't recommend these books for any student who is easily visually distracted, but the pages are completely workable as-is (maybe with a marker or something, not sure how well a pencil would work) or if you copy them on your home printer. Again, may be visually distracting for some kids, but the pages are totally clean and completely workable! I hope someone needs and can use these!

Creative Expression. Grades K-1. Duplicating Masters. Teacher's Guide. Milken Publishing Co, 1973. Softcover, good condition. “This book is designed to help the teacher foster the development of meaningful communication.” Pages 1-11 are instructions for the teacher; most of the book are the reproducible activity pages.
Beginning Writing. Grades K-1. Duplicating Masters. A Frank Schaffer Publication, 1981. Starts with basics of pencil strokes, tracing the vertical and diagonal lines, and moves to tracing and handwriting of letters and numbers. Softcover, clean, good condition.
Mat Mopped the Moon: A Bob Books Learn to Read Activity Book. Softcover, good condition.
Barney's Amazing Mazes and More! A Wipe-Clean activity book. Yes, we are talking the big purple dinosaur here! First maze is done in pen, there are some pen and crayon marks on the second maze, and the third maze is done in light crayon which will most likely wipe off.
Alphabet Activity Book. Ages 3-6. by Brighter Child. First page has some crayon, and a couple of pages are done in pencil.
Think About It. Level A – Lower Elementary. Hayes School Publishing Co, Inc, 1990. A logic skills workbook. My grandma (a ps teacher of 1st grade for over 40 years) gave me this to help with my son's comprehension, and has gone through on the first several pages and written a note for me at the top very neatly in pencil. These notes tend to denote what the page specifically addresses, such as critical thinking skills, imagination, comparing, observing, etc. You can erase these – I can't bring myself to do it! ;-)
Jump Right Into Reading, by Jane Ervin. Obtained to go with a Winter Promise program. A few pages done in pencil, and at least a couple have some crayon that shouldn't affect the usability of the page. Otherwise very good condition.
Phonics Word Hunt. Grade 1. Duplicating Masters. A Frank Schaffer Publication, 1986. Includes answer keys. This is exactly what it says: pages of individual word hunts where the words are organized by phonics rules. Softcover, clean and in good condition.
My First Book of Tracing, from Kumon for Ages 2-3-4. 14 pages done in pencil, 25 done in pen or crayon. The rest of the 80 pages are blank.
Discovering Phonics We Use. Early phonics workbook, starts with left-to-right progression and letter matching and ends with writing 3-letter words. 120 pages, clean. 2 copies.
Rhyme Time. Easel-back book by Brighter Child, for ages 4 and up. Stories for finger puppets and story cards which are not included. Very good condition, spiral bound.
Reading Stories. Grade 1. An I Know It! Book, by School Zone Publishing Company, 1991. Pages 1-4, 12, and 22 done in pencil. 31 pages to work, plus answer key.
The Sound Search. By Marie Sue Parsons. A phonics workbook covering blends, digraphs, and dipthongs. Softcover, clean, comes with answer key. Great looking resource!
Let's Learn... Rhyming: Cut & Paste & More. Grade 1. Carson-Dellosa, 1984. Workbook, clean. 22 pages, no answer key.
LLATL – this is a folder of a few activities, I'm sure from the first book whichever it is, and which I would assume would have come in the book itself and these are extra copies. Not using this resource myself, I don't know much about it, but please ask and I will try to see if I can answer! FREE with any order.

    Language Arts
Good Times We Share: Reading, Grade 1. Scott-Foresman. This is a ps textbook series, and included here are a teacher's edition reading book, plus three workbooks. The reading program is set up so that there are 6 student readers, and each reader has a workbook. The workbooks I have are noted 1.1, 1.5, and 1.6. I don't have any of the student readers, but I don't think they are needed to utilize the workbooks (which I assume have answer keys in the TE). Looking closely, it's possible that the TE is only for the first reader and workbook (one workbook cover matches), and that the other two workbooks wouldn't have any info in this particular TE... but I'm not sure. A lot of the activities don't seem to depend on the reader stories anyway and look to be useful as stand-alone reading workbooks.
Houghton-Mifflin English. 1st grade workbook. Softcover, clean, complete with activity cards and items in the back. Goes with a ps textbook which I don't have, and does not include an answer key.
Composing Language: Steps. Workbook in fantastic color, appears to be for a reading program, but I haven't looked long enough to see if I can figure out how to use it. Contains 30 beautiful “poster” pages in the back. Gorgeous! Completely clean.
Thinking to Read and Write. MacMillan/McGraw-Hill. 12 Take-Home books to read and share. Looks to be early-to-mid elementary. Contains the books and activity suggestions for each that seem to be aimed at thinking skills, logic, critical analysis, etc. Good condition, clean.
Spectrum Phonics Grade 3. Pages 5-11, 15-17 at least partially done in pencil. 165 pages plus answer key. Looks clean.
Spectrum Word Study and Phonics Grade 5. Looks clean. 175 pages plus answer key.

Glencoe Literature Reading Workbook Grade 5. Not dependent on a text reader, covers things like context clues, summarizing, note-taking. No answer key. Softcover with hole punches, clean.
Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics. Elements of Language workbook, Language Skills Practice, introductory course, by Holt-Rinehart-Winston. Looks like middle school age. Starts with Chapter 10 in the TOC. A few pages here and there done in pen, and seems to be missing some pages here and there, but mostly clean. (I'd be surprised if there were 2 dozen pages done, but they are so random and spread out it is hard to spot them to count for you.) Thick workbook of 345 pages, no answer key.

    Handwriting
    Zaner-Bloser Handwriting K or 1. Older version, 60's or 70's edition. Clean. ~~pending
Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Book 1. “Revised Edition.” “My Book” page written in pencil, otherwise clean.
Palmer Method Handwriting Grade 1. Copyright 1987. Pages 10-25 mostly done in pencil, and I spy some pencil scribble and a page or two of marker letters as well. 64 pages total.

    Spelling

Houghton-Mifflin Spelling and Vocabulary Grade 1. Uses italic-looking style handwriting. Starts with 53 pages of phonics lessons, then begins spelling units. Lesson 1 of these is done mostly in pencil but some in pen. Name on front cover in pen. The rest is clean.
Scholastic Spelling Grade 2. Pages 6- 9 have coloring across them. Pages 6-7 are not lesson pages, and pages 8-9 are still workable. The rest is clean.
CLP Spelling Light Unit 500 Appears to be a teacher book, complete with tests.
Spelling Puzzles Grade 2. An I Know It! Book by School Zone Publishing Company. 8 pages done in pencil out of 30 workable pages total.
Scott-Foresman Spelling “kite” Grade 1 teacher set plus student workbook. Workbook is completely clean and includes cardboard activities in the back. Teacher set includes Practice Book, Review Book, Teacher's Aid Book, and Challenge Book. The teacher set all has answer keys in the back. The TA book has lesson synopses in the front, homework sheets with parent notes in the back. The rest are extra work pages complete with answer key.
Everyday Spelling. Grade 1. Scott Foresman Addison Wesley. A few pages in the front done in pencil, and in the rest of the book there are large sections missing. Probably 1/3 of the book is missing, possibly more. Still has cardboard extras in the back.
Houghton-Mifflin Spelling. 2nd grade ps textbook, hardcover. Includes words in both manuscript and cursive example for each lesson. Good condition.
Spelling Connections by Zaner-Bloser. 3rd grade ps textbook, hardcover. Includes a manuscript list and a cursive list for each lesson. Good condition.
Spelling Connections by Zaner-Bloser. 4th grade ps textbook, hardcover. Includes a manuscript list and a cursive list for each lesson. Good condition.

Beginning Addition and Subtraction. Grades 1-3. An I Know It! Book by School Zone publishing. A couple of pages done in pencil but mostly clean.
My Book of Numbers 1-30. Kumon for ages 3-4-5. The first 1/3 of the book, where they are learning to write the numbers themselves, is mostly done and mostly in pencil. I see two pages done in marker but that is all. The rest of the book, the actual work pages, are clean.
Mathematics in Action. Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.About 1st grade. Very interesting resource, and would lean towards an unschooling, child-directed, relaxed, or activities-based homeschooling style. Bump! Is it too hard to read or does no one really need anything? LOL I did a little formatting on the first two posts and will try to get around to the others this evening! This stuff needs to go - make an offer, anything reasonable accepted! Willing to let some books go for $1 or less, or even free with other purchases. Seriously, just want these out! Thanks!

Bump. Edited for books sold - they shipped today!

I do have prices on all of this now, but didn't want to spend the time retyping this whole list. PM me if you're interested, and all prices are negotiable!

Shipping will be added, and will be the actual shipping cost via media mail, usually runs about $5. (Less for just a single book or two, but it would take a LOT of books in a HUGE box to go much over. Box I just shipped had almost a dozen books in it and it was only $5.)

I'm about to go post this list on the big site, so if you're wanting anything speak up! I'm willing to hold stuff for a little while (as long as you're sure), and I take paypal, money orders, and personal checks. :)

    Bump again.

Surely someone needs the AOP, BJU, Spectrum, CLE, CLP, Rod & Staff materials?

The spelling texts were excellent when we used them with my oldest. You can't write in them but they get the job done, and there's 1st-4th grade up there!

Also some super cheap "misc" phonics resources. Surely someone is trying to put together their own frugal curriculum on a budget! These will work fantastically, just as well as the name brand ones. Promise! ;)

I still need a few things myself, and selling these are the only way I have to get them. Prices are negotiable - make me an offer! Or ask how much less I can take. Can-do on pretty much anything. Of course, it's hard to take less than a quarter for some things, but hey, 5 for a buck or better sounds good to me. Let's make a deal!

Please forgive another bump. Hoping some newbies might can use some of what I still have left, which is quite a lot! Needing to sell in order to obtain what we still need. Willing to bargain! I do have prices even though they aren't in this post, so please PM to ask or please please feel free to make me an offer!

    Thank you for looking!

    Still selling?

    Hi there,
I'm new to homeschooling (and to the forum - so I can't send you a PM)
but I have a six 1/2 year old who is at a grade 2 level in most subjects (she was in grade one in a private Christian school last year but couldn't afford the tuition this year, so now we are learning at home!). She'd technically be in grade one so I am looking for grade 1 and 2 materials. I have the Rod & Staff Arithmetic teachers' manuals (but no student workbooks, etc) and so far I really like their curriculum and I'd be interested in their other subjects. Anyway, I'm not sure how much material you have left to sell, but I have a Paypal account and I'd love to take some off your hands. I think it'd be best if we could just take the books/sets which are the most complete. We don't have a lot to spend but if you could let me know how much you have and how much you'd like for the lot, that'd be a great place to start!
    Thanks :)
    A

Hello ladies! We just had a major move so things are kind of nuts around here, but I'll look up the prices document I saved after school and we will talk! I'm sure we can work something out. :) Thank you both!
