Ok...we went boating with some friends yesterday. Had a blast! But my problem was that when I got home (around 8 pm) I had other things that needed to be done before bed...and the kids needed to get to bed at a decent time to be able to start school this morning. But all I kept really thinking about was getting on here and seeing what everyone had been up to for the 1, yes I said 1, day I was gone! Then knowing today we were starting school mae it even worse because I knew I would be busy with the kids and would have very limied time for my own computer time! I think I have a problem!! :roll: :lol:
Your part of the family now!:love: I don't get to check as much on the weekend either my dh might think I have an adiction to the computer or something.

I'm the same way, my dh gets the computer on the weekends so I feel like I'm missing something if I don't check in everyday. That means I usually get up early on the weekends, at least earlier than him, to check on here.

Okay, I am really new here but I have to ask. Do you only check once a day? We haven't started school yet and I find myself checking in here several times a day. All the advice here has helped me with getting ready for our first year homeschooling. I am so ready and excited about starting with the girls and wish I could turn back time and do it with all my kids.
I'm a horrible computer addict, when I disapper it's cause I'm on vacation or too sick to sit up! My living room chair is at my desk, my desk is next to Sami's desk. I tend to set her up working on something, swivel around my chair and read forums. My mom tells me it's an addiction.. I pointed out that at least my computer stuff is mostly educational.. unlike her addiction to watching HGTV all day. (She didn't like that and says she learns alot about decorating LOL)
I check this site probably 10 or so times a day I bet! I use my computer for everything. I type and print lesson plans on here, find lesson plans here, do almost all of my shopping online, look up all sorts of info here, make lists online, talk w/ other homeschoolers here, read/watch the news and weather online, bargain shop, etc. I don't play games on the computer, but I would if I was into that sort of thing. I am in love with the computer and the internet!!!
I used to play games on the computer... but that's when I was in college & I really didn't want to be working on Organic Chemistry homework. LOL. I'm a huge procrastinator, I admit it. But I only check once a day, that's because once I'm on here, I stay on here reading the topics and everything for at least 3 hours. Usually more. I give my dd an assignment and then get back to reading. I know it's bad, but at least when she needs help I stop and help her instead of just giving her the answer so I can get back to this forum.
