Praying this morning for the victims of the shooting in the theater in CO. So scary and so very sad. I just heard they are saying 12 dead and up to 50 more injured. I know the numbers will change as the day goes on.
Our oldest son is a police officer and is working security at our local theater tonight for that same movie. It makes me very nervous! We live in a very small town but I worry about copycat crimes. He is letting our 13 year old grandson go to see a movie there tonight. I know he is smart and careful but it still scares me.
I watched it on the news this morning..... did they ever say what the motive was for it? There was a shooting massacre in Toronto a couple days ago as well.... how insane (not sure that they're linked but I did catch a clip that said a lady who escaped a different shooting at the Eaton Center in Toronto was killed at the on in CO)
The young lady who escaped the Toronto shooting on June 2 and was killed in the Aurora shooting is my friend's co-worker's friend. Small world. It's just so tragic all around.
Terrible tragedy! I couldn't believe this story, yet I know it has happened before. This type of thing is happening way to much. Once is too much. I am praying for the families of these people. We live in some scary times, we truly do. Keeping praying. My heart just cried in sadness when I heard about all of the victims, but when I read that a 6yr. old was dead, I really lost it since I am mom. I just don't understand the mind of people like that. It is sicking, scary and angering all at the same time.
