Can anyone recommend an online resource that lists the names of God, the meaning, and where it is found in the Bible? I'm looking to put together a study on the names of God for my kids.

    Thanks!

Not too long ago mom sent me Bible study notes on prayer and within those notes she included the names of God:

Call upon God by his names:
    Abba – Father
    Adonai – My Lord
YHWH Ra-ah – The Lord my Shepherd
El Roi – God who sees me
Ha Kaddosh, Baruch Hu – the Holy One, Blessed Be He
El ha Gibbor – God the strong one
El Shaddai – God the Rock
    Elohim – Almighty God
Melach ha Malachim – King of Kings
Yahweh Seba’ot – Lord of Hosts
YHWH Yireh – The Lord who provides
YHWH Rapha – The Lord who heals
YHWH Nissi – The Lord our banner
YHWH Tsidkenu – The Lord our righteousness
YHWH Shalom – The Lord our peace
YHWH Shannah – The Lord is present

This is a really neat site that I used once. There is a site called gotquestion dot org and you can look under names of God.

    Blessings to you

I am so glad you asked this question! I was thinking about this the other day and considered doing a similar study. You got some great responses.

This would be an awesome study to include in our morning devotions. I'm going to bookmark this one!

Thanks! I was going to do this study, but it will probably be next year.:p I decided to do a story-focused Fruit of the Spirit study instead.
