Timeline - we had some large copy paper (think it's 10x14) that we got years ago from who knows where. We taped them together and fan folded, adding pages as we needed. We draw simple pictures for each event. They are usually stick figures. My kids enjoyed the timeline, especially my daughter. We found it to be a fun way to review.

We purchased the mp3 files for the lessons. (You can purchase each quarter as needed.) We recently started listening to each lesson twice while we takes notes together. There is no way I could pronounce many of the names. For me it was worth the extra money.

Also, this year I removed the binding from the book and put it in a binder. I really think I am going to enjoy not having to hold open the book and the easy access to pages for copying.

YES! THIS! I did this and it even made just doing the lessons plans a million times easier. I'm using the cover as a place-holder. I couldn't imagine trying to make copies without removing the pages.

The cover as a place holder!!! I've been cutting off the binding of books for years (something I learned about here!), but NEVER thought of using the cover like that! What a neat idea!

I also plan on removing the binding and placing the pages into a binder. I am also going to add some binder dividers to make finding things a little easier.
